Since 1990 the Laboratory has been working in the area of image processing, with particular interest in the implementation of procedures for image enhancement (both linear and nonlinear), and for camera calibration, in view of increasing the performences of the 3D systems of the Laboratory. In addition, 2D Vision for medicine has been developed, in collaboration with ophthalmologists and scientists.
